The Course Content

ASHI Adult/child/infant CPR/AED  (Includes:  Digital Student Guide & Print Certification Card) Course intended to prepare individuals to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies including performing Adult/Child/Infant CPR and safely using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for victims of sudden cardiac arrest. Cards are issued the same day and certification is valid for 2 years.

 ASHI Basic First Aid (All Ages)(Includes:  Digital Student Guide & Print Certification Card) This course is useful for those seeking First Aid training. We will cover bleeding control, treatment of burns, fractures, strains, sprains, seizures, shock, heat and cold emergencies, and poisoning. Cards are issued the same day and certification is valid for 2 years.

Online/Blended courses are the same courses as the onsite trainings-same certification, the difference is the class room portion is completed online rather than in the classroom and students usually complete this portion in less time than the classroom lecture course. Online/Blended training combines the convenience of online training with a shortened face to face session. The face to face session covers a review, practice time, skill evaluation and only takes about 30 minutes! Here's how it works!

 Part 1: Each student independently completes the course lecture portion, online, at their convenience, at their pace, before the onsite course date.

 Part 2: Your Face to Face skill practice & evaluation session is one on one with the instructor.

 Part 3: Satisfactorily perform the physical skill components at the evaluation session.

 After you complete the online portion, you must calll 805-705-9222 to schdule your skill testing session.

Safety Training and Aquatic Rescue (STAR) is a basic water safety course designed for parents and caregivers who are responsible for children in, on or near water. The course meets regulatory requirements for water safety training and the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Delivered through online learning, participants are not required to be in the water or know how to swim and earn a certificate upon completion.
